A water curtain booth is generally preferred for high volume solvent-based painting because it continuously washes overspray out of the air stream, while a dry filter booth suits lower volume or water-based paint work with simpler upkeep.
Exhaust capacity is calculated against booth volume and paint type at the quotation stage, so the booth actually clears fumes fast enough for safe, comfortable working rather than just meeting a minimum air-change number on paper.
