Pre-treatment decides how long the coating lasts. Powder sprayed onto oily, rusty or unphosphated steel looks perfectly good on the day and starts lifting within months. The tanks are where adhesion and salt spray life are actually created.
We manufacture 3-tank, 5-tank and 7-tank process plants in mild steel with chemical resistant lining, or in stainless steel where the chemistry demands it. A typical 7-tank sequence runs degreasing, water rinse, derusting, water rinse, activation, phosphating and passivation rinse – with dwell times set for your substrate and soil level.
Tanks are supplied with heating (electric immersion, gas or thermic fluid), stirring or circulation pumps, overflow weirs and sludge removal arrangements. For dip lines we build the hoist and trolley; for conveyorised lines we build the spray tunnel version with pumps, headers and nozzles.
