A Semi Automatic Powder Coating Plant automates the parts of the process that machines do better than people – temperature control, soaking time, powder recovery, extraction – and leaves the spraying to an operator, who is still better than any gun mover at reaching inside a complex fabricated component.
This is the configuration most job work units end up choosing. Full automation only earns its cost when the same component runs for hours; a shop that changes component and colour several times a day gets more out of a skilled sprayer and an automatic oven.
The oven runs a digital cycle with a soaking timer and safety cut-off. The booth recovers unused powder through cartridge filters. Colour change is a filter and hopper clean, measured in minutes rather than an hour.
