An Automatic Gas Fired Powder Coating Plant runs the complete cycle – conveyor speed, booth extraction, burner firing rate, soaking time and cool down – on a pre-set program. The operator loads and unloads; the plant decides everything else. That is what keeps the finish identical on the first batch of the morning and the last batch of the night shift.
Gas is chosen here for one reason: on a piped natural gas or LPG connection it is usually the cheapest way to hold a 180-200 degree cure, and a modulating burner trims its firing rate instead of switching fully on and off, so the chamber never overshoots and scorches a fresh coat.
A heat exchanger keeps flue gases completely away from your components. We commission the burner on site with a flue gas analyser, because the correct air-to-gas ratio depends on your gas pressure and pipe run – not on a factory default setting.
